Hello lovely readers ~ It has been quite some time since I have posted and sometimes I wonder if that is a good thing or a bad thing? I often look at writing as an outlet to make sense of what’s going on in my head or trying to make sense of what I may think be going on inside someone else’s 😛
Tonight I find it relevant to talk about “change”. Some people shudder at the word and absolutely despise change; although, it makes no sense because in all reality we are constantly changing and so are our surroundings so it should be something we embrace. In my head when we are fighting change (foreseen or unforeseen) I like to use the analogy of being in a river. The person who is fighting change is trying to swim the opposite direction of the current and in turn is exhausting themselves and really getting no where. On the other hand, the person who is accepting inevitable change is laying back and enjoying the ride down the river. Sure they may have to dodge a few obstacles but they are going with the flow (literally) of the river of life. I say we all grab our floaties and jump into the unknown river and see what this life has in store for us. Just lay back and let it take you where it may.
Change, unknown, the what if’s, the dark…it’s all scary but it’s also part of this thing we call life. Nothing will ever stay the same and that goes for good and bad so we have to learn how to love it all and never take either for granted. If it’s bad, we learn. If it’s good, we flourish. Depending on the situation, change may mean involving some sort of risk, but without risk there is no growth and without growth there is no fulfillment. Although don’t get me wrong, in my opinion none of us should ever reach our highest potentials because we should all be striving for more; to be better, to challenge ourselves, to use every gift we have and then some. I assure you that the Universe and the people that love you will always be there to catch your fall and celebrate in the victories that they always knew would be yours.
Enjoy the ride, T
